  1. Yo, Kristin! Thanks for these no-cook ( and hence minimum wash) camping meals. I plan to try every one of them and break out of the same-old-same-old meals I’ve been having. Now, armed with your incredible list of ingredients , I’m looking forward to some cool culinary adventures. One thing, though, in the 1st recipe you say “cook yogurt”. Do you just heat up ordinary refrigerated yogurt ? COLOR ME INSPIRED!!.

      Oops, it shouldn’t have said to “cook” yogurt, haha. Eat the yogurt cold! I’ll fix that.

    Start with canning a turkey – it’s easy and cheap! Break the turkey carcass down to pints and add no seasonings at this point. Process on high pressure in a pressure cooker for 90 minutes. Thereafter, it will keep unrefrigerated. It can be used in turkey cacciatore, stuffed tomatoes, turkey salad, or just a turkey and gravy dinner.

    I am going to give several of these a try. You asked what is a camping meal I like to make, I love cous cous! Just boil water, add cous cous, remove from heat & cover for 5 mins, fluff and it’s ready. It’s great hot or cold in a salad.
