What to Look for in a 4 Season Travel Trailer

Insulation

There’s a lot that can be learned about R-values when it comes to travel trailers and insulation. But the most important thing you can remember is that a higher R-value provides more insulation. Most of the walls on cheaper travel trailers have very little, if any, block foam insulation. This is a must on most RVs that tout a four seasons package.

Some DIY RVers use reflective aluminum foil to add insulation to their travel trailer walls or ceiling, but it’s not exactly an aesthetically pleasing way to go. Bottom line: look for a four season RV with insulated floors, walls, and ceiling if you’ll be camping in cold weather conditions.
