Roadloft is known for its minivan and SUV camper conversion kits, but it has just unveiled a new truck camping kit.

Designed to fit all 6-foot full-size pickups, this modular system transforms your vehicle into a cozy, functional truck camping haven. The kit is lightweight, easy to install, and can be removed when you want to use your truck for something else.

Did I catch your attention? Good! Let’s take a look inside this new pickup kit from Roadloft.

Roadloft’s new removable pickup conversion kit offers everything you need to transform your truck into a camper. One of the standout features is the three sliding kitchen drawers, which can be accessed in tailgate mode. This design allows you to cook comfortably whether you’re outside under the stars or inside your pickup for a bit of shelter.

The kit also includes two integrated folding tables, perfect for creating adaptable work or dining spaces. These tables are easy to set up and tuck away when not in use, giving you the flexibility to enjoy a meal or work on the go without feeling cramped.

The foldable bed with a 3.5″ sectional mattress offers multiple configurations (single, double, spacious double) to suit your needs. You can even choose to install only the kitchen.

Smart Storage Solutions

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from camping, it’s that you can never have too much storage. The multiple compartments in the Roadloft kit mean campers can keep gear organized and easily accessible. No more digging through a jumbled mess to find socks or your coffee cup.

Quick and Easy Installation

The Roadloft pickup kit is really easy to install thanks to Roadloft’s innovative clip system – pretty much anyone can do it. That’s a big “win” for those of us who hate DIY projects, like me!

Dimensions and Weight

This Roadloft pickup kit is the lightest on the market at 125.5 pounds, like another passenger. It measures 83″L x 47″W x 11″H when installed, and when you’re not using it, it folds down to a compact 47″ L x 26″ W x 20.5″ H, perfect for storing in a garage or storage unit.

One of the things that really caught my eye about the Roadloft kit is its removability. If you decide to upgrade your truck or lend the kit to a friend, it’s easy to transfer. Also, you can sell the kit when you’re finished with it.

The Roadloft kit fits most pickup truck beds with a minimum length of 6 feet, like (Ford F150 2020+, Silverado 1500 2019+, Ram 1500 DS 2019+, GMC Sierra 2019+).

Check Your Vehicle’s Compatibility with the Kit:

  • Width between the box shoulders: 62″

  • Minimum tailgate recess: 19″
  • Total bed length: 72.5″

I’m a regular reader – love the info, insights and writing style. All very organized. BUT – in my professional opinion (graphic designer, creative director), it seems that you are in danger of becoming an ‘ad glutton’ – a site that becomes popular, hence more offers from advertisers, hence more money for you, hence web pages that become so cluttered that you actually start to Lose viewers. I’ve seen magazine sites do exactly that.
You don’t want that! And you don’t have to say ‘no thank you’ to more advertising dollars, but perhaps some self-imposed rules to maintain the integrity of your site. Like using rotating ads instead of adding more popups. You won’t lose advertisers – ever. They know a good thing when they see it. They will abide with whatever you decide they can have. But the readers (like me), you should want to do everything possible to keep me viewing – for a long time. Having spent my career in advertising, I now see it as an intrusive eyesore – I want your content, not theirs. My 2 cents. Keep up the great work! KO

Thanks for your insight! I use an ad manager called Mediavine, and I actually have ads displaying in lower numbers than their recommended settings. Due to Google updates, I’ve already lost about 75% of my income. It’s a delicate balancing act between too many ads to damage user experience and not enough for me to make a living.
