We love traveling in our Sprinter van, which is built on the same chassis many manufacturers use for their smallest RVs with shower and toilet. Since we did a DIY van, we left a bathroom out, but after traveling Europe in small RVs with a bathroom, I learned how much a hot shower and a toilet add to nomadic comfort.

There are four designs to choose from, and each has been cleverly thought out for the full-time traveler. There’s plenty of headroom, storage lockers, and living space. All floorplans feature a double bed, kitchen, toilet, dinette, entertainment area, and swivel front seats.

You can choose between a rear lounge, rear twin beds, front twin beds, or a Murphy bed. There are also plenty of upholstery and wall-lining options. 

For a production RV, this build is very customizable. The front twin beds and the Murphy bed floorplans feature a wet bathroom, while the other two have a dry bath. There’s plenty of space on the roof to mount solar panels, so you can generate a good amount of energy to power your favorite gadgets. 

Overall, the Wonder must be one of the best small RVs with a shower and toilet currently on the market.

6 Small Travel Trailers with a Bathroom

1. 13′ Scamp Deluxe

If you want a small trailer with toilet and shower you can stow away in the garage when you’re not adventuring, the Scamp Deluxe is perfect.

There are three floorplans. Layout B features a wet bath, while there’s no toilet in the other two. Layout B includes 2 closets, a kitchenette with sink and a stove, a wet bath, and a dinette that turns into a bed. It’s small, simple, yet very practical.

The interior is cozy yet modern, while the exterior has a vintage feel that makes it super cute. Scamp Trailers managed to squeeze a lot into this small space. There’s space to store two gas bottles on the front hitches, so they’re safely outdoors and don’t take up any extra room.

The 13′ Scamp Deluxe weighs less than 2,000 pounds, can be towed with almost any car, and is very fuel-efficient.

2. iCamp Elite

There’s only one floorplan, but you can choose between an orange or blue package. Inside are a kitchen with a sink and stove, a wet bath, and a dinette that turns into a double bed. Every space is small but workable. It’s the price to pay for having a tiny trailer with all the comforts.

Even though it’s extra light, the iCamp Elite is well built. The steel frame is overlayed with a laminated structure foam body and finished with a gel coat of high-gloss fiberglass exterior skin. No wonder it’s so shiny.

3. Airstream Basecamp

When you picture a trailer, you instantly think of the iconic Airstream.

The layouts are very similar. They all feature a dinette that turns into a bed, a small kitchen, and a wet bath. The bigger models have an extra dinette in the front, which means they can sleep four people.

Among the options, there’s a two-room tent attachment, giving you the option to camp with more people. As you’d expect, Airstreams aren’t cheap, but a smaller trailer will save you a decent amount of money.

4. Coleman Lantern LT

The Coleman Lantern LT has been one of the top-selling small campers with a shower and toilet. Its main selling point is affordability, allowing first-time RVers to experience the lifestyle without spending on a more expensive model. 

This lineup features two floorplans—the 17R and the 17B. Each has a specific intended audience. The 17R is ideal for solo travelers or couples, with a rear bathroom featuring extra closet storage. The 17B reduces the bathroom size to accommodate a set of twin bunks, making it ideal for small families looking to purchase their first RV. 

Both models feature a queen-size bed in the front, a convertible dinette, and a functional kitchen for cooking inside. If you’ve always wanted to try RVing but have worried about learning the ins and outs of more complex trailers, the Coleman Lantern LT is perfect for you.

5. East to West Silver Lake and Silver Lake LE

East to West RV is a relative newcomer to the RV industry, but the company’s founder grew up around one of the biggest US RV manufacturers and brought her knowledge and design acumen to her company. 

The Silver Lake is East to West’s flagship stick-and-tin travel trailer, offering 15 layouts including bunkhouse, rear living, rear bathroom, rear dining, and Murphy bed floorplans. The 16RBLE is their smallest camping trailer with a shower and a toilet. While the bathroom size is modest, you’ll also get a convertible booth dinette and a Murphy bed at the front. 

I love some of their smallest models for their floorplan versatility. A small camper feels much less cramped when you can convert the bed to a couch during the day, opening up much-needed floor space for activities. 

6. Rockwood Geo-Pro

• Length: 12’3”-21’2”
• Exterior Height: 7’3”-10’2”
• Sleeps: 2 – 5
• Bathroom Type: Dry

Rockwood’s Geo-Pro lineup has long been one of the RV industry’s most appealing small camper brands. Their smallest models in this series don’t include a bathroom, so I’d begin your search with the G15FBS. It’s a couples-friendly Murphy bed floorplan in the front, with a rear bathroom and a dry bath to separate the toilet and shower. 

For those with a few more family members to sleep, I’d recommend the G19BH. It’s a bunkhouse floorplan with a small but functional dry bathroom, 26” x 74” double bunks for the kids, and a full-size bed in the front. Plus, there’s a convertible dinette and a full kitchen in the center of the layout. 

Some of the features that these small Geo-Pro campers share include ground solar prep and a 200-watt roof-mounted solar panel, heated holding tanks for extended season camping, and 15” Mud Rover tires with a lift kit.
